- 210 grams All purpose flour
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- ¾ tsp Baking powder
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds (optional)
- 2 tsp Dried rosemary (optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 80 grams Natural yogurt
- 30 grams Butter (softened)
- 2 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
- 3 tbsp Fresh coriander (chopped)
To Make
Add the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to a bowl along with the cumin seeds and dried rosemary if using. Mix briefly
Add the olive oil and most of the yogurt and mix with your hand until a rough dough is formed. You will probably need to add the rest of the yogurt to bring it together
Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for 4 or 5 minutes until the dough is smooth
Place the dough back in the bowl, cover and rest for 10 minutes (or until you're ready to use it)
Soften the butter and mix in the garlic and coriander
Cut the dough into 4 pieces and roll each in your hand into a ball. On a lightly floured surface roll out each piece with a rolling pin to a thickness of 2-3 mm
Warm the frying pan over a high heat and in a dry pan cook the naan, two at a time, for around 90 seconds each side
