Ingredients
  

  • 210 grams All purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ¾ tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Cumin seeds (optional)
  • 2 tsp Dried rosemary (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 80 grams Natural yogurt
  • 30 grams Butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 3 tbsp Fresh coriander (chopped)

Prep

  • Weigh/ measure the ingredients

To Make

  • Add the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to a bowl along with the cumin seeds and dried rosemary if using. Mix briefly
  • Add the olive oil and most of the yogurt and mix with your hand until a rough dough is formed. You will probably need to add the rest of the yogurt to bring it together
  • Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for 4 or 5 minutes until the dough is smooth
  • Place the dough back in the bowl, cover and rest for 10 minutes (or until you're ready to use it)
  • Soften the butter and mix in the garlic and coriander
  • Cut the dough into 4 pieces and roll each in your hand into a ball. On a lightly floured surface roll out each piece with a rolling pin to a thickness of 2-3 mm
  • Warm the frying pan over a high heat and in a dry pan cook the naan, two at a time, for around 90 seconds each side

To Serve

  • Brush or spread the garlic herb butter on the warm naans and serve immediately
