Blue Cheese Walnut Pasta Topper
Equipment
- 1 Frying pan (Heavy bottomed)
Materials
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 80 grams Bread
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Pepper
- 80 grams Walnuts
- 80 grams Stilton or any Crumbly Blue Cheese
Instructions
Prep
- Weigh/ measure all ingredients
- Crumble the blue cheese into a small crumb
To Make
- Blitz the bread to breadcrumbs in the blender
- Add the walnuts and blend briefly to chop the nuts. Add the seasoning, but not the oil or cheese and blitz briefly till mixed
- In the frying pan, warm half of the oil over a medium high heat. Tip in the dry ingredient mix and cook, stirring or shaking the pan, until crispy and golden brown. Add a little more oil as you go, if needed
- Place to the side on a warmed plate lined with kitchen roll and sprinkle over the finely crumbled blue cheese
To Serve
- Sprinkle a little on top of each plated bowl of pasta or place in the middle of the table as you might with grated cheese
